Welcome to the webshop of VLK Gent, the student association of the Faculty of Bioengineering at Ghent University.
Through our course notes service, we at the VLK Cursus Team make sure you have access to affordable and high-quality study materials - from lecture notes and solved exercises to textbooks. Our goal is to make studying easier and more accessible, so you can focus your time and energy on what truly matters during student life.

When to pick up your courses?
The courseservice is open all day during the first week of classes:

You can always find the opening hours for the first week of classes in the Facebook year groups, on our Ufora page ‘VLK Course,’ and on our Instagram account.
From week 2 to week 7, the course service is open on weekdays from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Where is the courseservice?
You can find us in the basement of the E-block on Campus Coupure.

Do you provide all necessary courses?
Not all professors use our course service. For some courses, you’ll need to get the materials directly from the professor or another provider. Don’t worry—your professor will always let you know where and how to get them.

Why should I buy a VLK Membership first?
With a VLK membership, you get discounts on courses as well as VLK events like parties, cantusses, and cultural activities. You’ll also receive a Guido bag filled with discounts around Ghent. For first year bachelor students, it’s especially worth it: the membership fee is usually less than the savings on your courses - so joining is always a smart move!

Tuyaux? Tuyaux!
​​​De Tuyaux is het paradepaardje van de cursusdienst! Dit zijn examenvragen van de vorige jaren en hebben al meermaals hun nut bij het studeren bewezen. Tenzij je een verse eerstebacher bent, heb je hier ongetwijfeld al gebruik van gemaakt! We vragen dan ook vriendelijk om de tuyaux in stand te helpen houden en het goede voorbeeld van je voorgangers te volgen. Examenvragen kunnen aan ons doorgespeeld worden door een mailtje te sturen naar cursus@boerekot.be of door ze online in te dienen bij het tabblad 'Tuyaux'.

Wij zijn Nora Parmentier en Lisanne De Roo, het team dat ervoor zorgt dat jij al je cursussen, practicumnota’s, herbariummappen en meer op tijd in handen krijgt. Dankzij ons hoef je je geen zorgen te maken over lege inktpatronen, papierproblemen of last-minute tripjes naar de boekenwinkel. Het enige wat jij hoeft te doen, is bestellen via deze site, en wij zorgen dat alles netjes voor je klaarstaat! Let op: bestel op tijd, want na week 7 kunnen we je helaas niet meer verder helpen.

We bieden niet alleen de essentials aan, maar ook onze tuyaux: een zorgvuldig samengestelde collectie examenvragen van de afgelopen jaren mét oplossingen. Als bio-ingenieursstudenten weten we hoe handig dit is - en geloof ons, het kan je écht heel wat stress (en mentale breakdowns 😅) besparen.
